Derek was the perfect mix of professional, competent and a really nice, friendly man. We live abroad so Derek arranged a couple of Zoom calls just so we could get familiar with each other, have our questions answered and manage expectations from both ends which was great. He even came and met us at the venue hotel the day before for a coffee to sort out last minute stuff. He truly went above and beyond for us from start to finish, happily organising taking a video we decided we wanted very much at last minute; nothing seemed like too much trouble and was all achieved with a smile and good humour. Amazingly, we got our pictures with 2 weeks, considerably ahead of his proposed schedule, which was a great surprise. In something of a miracle, my wife likes almost all the pics she’s in and my Mum and Dad are both smiling AND looking at the camera at the same time. The man is a genius!! Seriously though, he put everyone who hates having their picture taken at ease, took lots of candid shots through the day and we really couldn’t have been any happier with the final result. Price isn’t the driving factor when you hire a photographer for something as precious as wedding photos but to have the skill and dedication that Derek brings to the task at the price, he’s definitely someone we cannot recommend highly enough.
