A dram before the ceremony — a wee Scottish tradition that settles the nerves and makes a great photograph. I love the men's side of a wedding morning. There's usually a bit of nervous energy about, and a toast like this is when it breaks into grins. I shot this from outside the circle rather than asking them to face me, so it stays a real moment between pals. The grounds at Ross Priory give the groom's party plenty of space to gather away from the main house. Glasses up, one big cheer, and down to business.
