The flower girls leading the way down the outdoor aisle, sunshine on the carpet, one wee one being carried the whole distance. Processions are full of tiny stories — the nerves, the waves to grandparents, the small hand gripping a bouquet — and I photograph every member of the party on their walk, not just the bride. An outdoor ceremony at Ross Priory means gorgeous natural light for all of it, no dim aisle or mixed indoor lighting to fight. If children are part of your procession, relax about how they'll behave. Whatever they do ends up being everyone's favourite picture.
