The walk every dad rehearses in his head for months. An outdoor aisle at Ross Priory is a special way to do it — open sky, guests either side, and the loch waiting at the end. I photograph this from the front, moving backwards ahead of them, so I get the bride, her dad, and the faces of the guests reacting as they pass. It's seconds long and completely unrepeatable, so I leave nothing to chance. I've photographed this venue's outdoor setup before, and knowing exactly where the light falls on that carpet makes all the difference.
