A tartan shawl, a sequinned dress, and a guest and the brides mother delighted to be photographed together — Scotland and America meeting in one hug. This wedding joined two families from two continents, and you could see the mingling happen in real time across the day. I photograph plenty of guests who wave me over for a frame like this, and I always oblige happily; between the candids and the requested ones, everyone ends up in the gallery. The American guests adored the tartan everywhere. Several had even clocked Pollok Country Park from its appearances in Outlander, which delighted them no end.
