Groom on his feet, glass raised, his bride grinning up at him — a toast in mid-flight. For a self-declared camera-avoider, Patrick gave me plenty of frames like this, which rather proves the point: when people are absorbed in a real moment, the camera stops existing for them. That's the entire foundation of how I work. The toasts at this wedding ranged across two families and two continents, and every raised glass got photographed. A gallery should let you count the times your health was drunk. This one made that a long and happy count.
