Train trailing over the gravel, walking the old terrace with its urns and stonework — a bride moving through a house's history. I photograph these unposed walking frames all day; they breathe air into a gallery between the bigger set pieces. The terraces and garden buildings at Pollok House give even a simple walk a sense of occasion, all carved stone and centuries of care. Megan and Patrick's wedding turned out to be among the last held here before the house closed for its big refurbishment, which makes quiet frames like this a wee piece of the building's story too.
