Confetti on the lawn, guests either side, and two people getting absolutely covered. The gardens at Mabie House give you space to do this properly — a full corridor of friends and family with room to throw. I organise the confetti moment quickly so the fun doesn't drain out of it: everyone in position, couple ready, and one big countdown. Then I shoot fast, because confetti photographs live and die in about four seconds. Dumfries & Galloway couples sometimes think the big joyful wedding pictures belong to city venues.
