I photograph faces, hands and closeness, and a slow sway delivers all three better than choreography ever could. If you're nervous about the first dance, choose a song around three minutes — long enough for the moment, short enough that you're not stranded — and ask the band or DJ to invite others up for the final chorus. The Carrick Suite makes even a simple sway look cinematic. Hold each other and ignore us all. That's the dance.
