Shot in the soft uplighting at Cottiers in Glasgow, I stayed back with a longer lens so the family could forget I was there and just enjoy the moment. That's where the honest expressions live — in the laughter nobody's performing for the camera.
Capturing the connection between a couple and their families is at the centre of how I photograph a wedding. Cottiers was another first-time venue for me, and its warm stone and dramatic light gave these candid moments a backdrop that did half the work for me.
