This is one of my favourite images from Jillian and Reece's wedding day — and I didn't direct a single moment of it.
Jillian is seconds away from walking into the Memorial Chapel at the University of Glasgow to get married. Her bridesmaid is passing her flowers. Another is fixing her veil. And Jillian herself is completely in the moment — composed, present, and utterly unaware of the camera.
That's documentary wedding photography at its best.
No posing. No staging. No "hold that." Just a real moment, caught exactly as it happened, that tells the whole story of what it feels like to be a bride about to walk down the aisle.
The Memorial Chapel at the University of Glasgow is one of Scotland's most beautiful and unique wedding venues. Its ornate stonework and grand entrance create a natural stage for moments like this — images that feel cinematic without trying to be.
Jillian wore a stunning gown from Opus Couture Glasgow, with hair by Lisa Yvonne Hair and make-up by Make-up by Tabassum. Flowers by Oops a Daisy, cake by Sprinkles on Top, evening entertainment by The Brammers, and the full day also captured on film by videographer Danny Rizzo.
