This one means a lot to me. It's a Peaky Blinders-inspired shoot I created for Alexa Scott, who runs some of the biggest wedding fairs in Scotland — two models in full Highland tweed, whisky in hand, styled and lit to feel like a still from the show. It went on to win Silver in the digital category and reached the finals of the International Icon Awards in Las Vegas.
Everything here is deliberate. The dark panelled backdrop, the warm pools of light, the tweed and tartan, the whisky glasses catching the glow — it's built frame by frame, drawing on years of fashion and editorial photography before I ever shot a wedding. This is the craft that sits underneath everything I do, even on a relaxed wedding day: knowing how to shape light, direct people, and build an image with real atmosphere.
Why does an award-winning styled shoot matter to a couple booking a wedding photographer? Because it's the same eye and the same skill turned to your day. The difference between a photograph that records your wedding and one that stops people in their tracks comes down to exactly this kind of craft.
If you want wedding photography with genuine artistry behind it — recognised at international level — get in touch. I'd love to hear about your day.
