The Carrick Suite before the guests arrive — vaulted beams, strings of fairy lights, and that great arched window pouring daylight down the aisle. I always photograph the ceremony room empty, because this is the scene you and your suppliers spent months building, and it only looks like this for about twenty minutes. A planning tip for this room: the window behind the ceremony spot means your photographer needs to know how to balance bright backlight — ask to see examples. I've shot here often enough that the light holds no surprises. Get the empty-room photo. You'll always be glad it exists.
